GIVING HEALTH
& HOPE TO
PEOPLE WITH
TYPE 1 DIABETES

Type 1 Diabetes is fatal if untreated and disadvantaged children in South-East Asia still suffer because of limited access to basic healthcare. We are trying to change this.

680+ young people in our care

2.6 million+ blood glucose tests provided

6 countries across South-East Asia

$100 donation supports one child for two-and-a-half months
MAKING AN IMPACT
Access to basic healthcare is a human right. We are the only NGO providing continual Type 1 Diabetes support to people in South-East Asia who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
This is Pasil
She is the first person ever to be diagnosed and treated for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) in Laos.
In 2016, Pasil arrived at hospital in a diabetic coma after a two-day journey in the back of a pickup truck.
Working with local health authorities, A4D supported Pasil in her recovery and has since given her with free insulin and blood testing equipment. She is now a strong and healthy 15-year-old.
A4D supports over 45 young people in Laos with ongoing Type 1 Diabetescare who would not be alive without the work that we do.
