A4D CYCLE RIDE 2022: THE CHAING MAI CHALLENGE:

Join us for a cycling adventure in South-East Asia this November in support of disadvantaged young people with Type 1 Diabetes.

We will be taking on the Mae Hong Son Loop in Northern Thailand, a 595km circuit that winds from jungle-clad valleys to pagoda-topped mountain summits and showcases the region at its best.

Organised with Spice Roads, a professional cycle tour operator, riders will have the chance to conquer Thailand’s highest mountain Doi Inthanon and have a unique opportunity to meet A4D beneficiaries in the Chiang Mai area.

A4D Co-Founder Charles Toomey said ahead of the ride: “We are truly excited to get back on the track and ride to support people with T1D and their families.

“We currently provide over 650 young people across South-East Asia with ongoing and essential medical care, including over 150 in Thailand.

“This challenge is a fantastic way to support them and enjoy some of the best cycling in South-East Asia.”

Struan from Spice Roads says: “This is a very culturally rich area as we travel near the Myanmar border and so many hill tribes live in this area.

The mountains giving you stunning backdrops and the many climbs on this trip make this a challenging, but ultimately an enriching trip.”
